Very Good

The cleaning staff were amazing , the room was immaculate. I asked about room service and was told only if they weren't busy. They either do room service or not. Front of house very helpful, even ordered a couple of afternoon teas for gifts for friends.

Love this old fashioned proper hotel

Lovely old building with old fashioned opulence, fantastic staff, breakfast and very clean

Mattress was upside down, but quickly rectified, building is getting tired but that just adds to its character

Will be back again without a doubt

Once again the Royal Victoria did not disappoint, great staff, great breakfast lovely clean room , super location just love this place and it’s dated opulence but that to us only adds to the charm, speaking as visitors to the RVH for probably a dozen or more times

Wasn’t a great first night as mattress was on bed upside down so quite uncomfortable but immediately resolved after speaking to staff the next day

Exceptional location, great stay.

I really enjoyed my stay. the staff were excellent and although the carpet in my room could do with a refresh the bed was exceptionally comfortable with very nice pillows. I booked a sea view and that was fantastic - the light comping through the window in the morning was inspiring. I had a couple of work zoom-meetings and the wifi was very good. Breakfast was excellent and the dining room very clean. The whole hotel has a wonderful 'faded grandeur' of a past age - Queen Victoria once stayed there and it felt like a special place. So much more memorable than many of the hotels I have stayed at. Would deffo stay again.

A Grand old lady now a little faded.

A fabulous Victorian hotel. If you want something a bit different try here. My room was enormous. The hotel was also dog friendly. The bed was comfy. Everything was clean. Staff were super helpful and friendly. I loved the charm of the place.

The bathroom in my room was quite tired and could do with an update. Also the hinge was broken on the window so you couldn't open it. The hotel really could do with some TLC and is now a little past its prime.

went for a family funeral not too interested in surroundings also stormy

Very nice comfortable large room

Shower over bath found difficult to control heat hot one second and the cold would have preferred stand alone shower and no bath easy to get in and out especially as water was difficult to control

Beautiful building housing superb hotel.

Really excellent hotel on sea front with lovely views. Breakfast was superb taken in restaurant overlooking sea. I would not stay anywhere else in Hastings ink future.

Nice, characterful hotel but needs an overhaul.

The staff were friendly when asked for assistance. Room service was prompt when available. Unfortunately one of the nights the kitchen closed early so the staff could not provide room service.

I reported the room phone wasn't working on Sunday. By checkout on Friday it still hadn't been fixed. My room had various signs of wear and one chair arm was broken. The fixed shower head was also too low to get under.

Superb hotel, genuinely friendly staff. Food, best breakfast any hotel. Restaurant and bar food superb and Large portions! We booked same room again for next year.

Fantastic, would defenifinatly come back here. Had to book another week

My stay here was awsome felt like i was living here all my life. The staff here are the best ever seen. Friendly and acommodating, was made fell so welcome it be a shame to leave.

Great room for the money reception staff were very nice and professional

Location is perfect for the south coast hotel looks amazing outside and rooms are clean and tidy

Car park is hit and miss only 5 spaces outside and you may need to drive around a bit to find a local space

Very nice we had an amazing time I would definitely book again

Very quick and efficient check in and check out and the room was very spacious

The television was a little bit far away from the bed it sounds silly but for someone with not very good eyesight this was a problem

Lovely.. especially with the Christmas tree ..

Love the Victorian charm , the old grandeur of it all.. the history of Burtons st. Leonards .. love the display of the Princess Victorias own signature! feels a little haunted and romantic! ( as long as not my room!) love waking up to the glistening sea..

Only disappointment was the mattress ..! Wish it was thicker and the bed not squeaky! Bedding ok and got warm by using the two duvets..! But bed only let done I’m afraid..!

Dirty unkempt hotel with broken or breaking facilities

Large bed. Spacious rooms

Window sills and windows dirty and draughty. Shower fixing was wobbly. The hotel has no night porter or residents main door key access so we had to wait in the freezing cold whilst the bar man - only person on duty served someone upstairs. Appalling and surely a health and safety risk if there were to be a fire.

Overall great value for money hotel in a prime location

Staff were very friendly and engaging. Location is prime on the seafront

WIFI should have been a lot better. In 2019 this should be a given. Decor needed refreshing
